The rubber combi ring: from evolution to standard solution

The combi ring is developed as replacement for the widely used loose rubber ring and nose ring in gate valves. The combi ring combines the flexibility of rubber and the hardness of steel into one product making it more resilient and durable in its use. These advantages and the better availability make it a perfect substitute..

Advantages of the combi ring

There are also other advantages to replacing the loose rings by the rubber combi ring. The nose is made of a harder material, giving it a lower friction resistance to the gate. This causes less shearing and thus less damage. As the nose can’t tilt anymore, it has better contact with the gate which in turn ensures a better sealing. When adding an extra thick gate the loose nose can get stuck in between the backing rings. The combined nose and body of the rings are less prone to be pressed down by the gate. All these factors make the combi ring the best substitution for the loose rubber ring and nose ring.
